Nate Walkingshaw is a notable figure in the tech and entrepreneurial world, known for his human-centered product design and innovative approaches. He began his career as an EMT, where he identified the need for safer patient transport systems, leading to his first company, Paraslyde, which was later acquired by Stryker Medical. This venture marked the start of his journey in revolutionizing medical evacuation technology.

Walkingshaw's entrepreneurial spirit continued with the founding of Brightface, a product development company focused on mobile and web applications, including Cycleface, which was acquired by Strava. He then served as the Chief of Research and Innovation at Tanner Labs, where he built a human-centered product development team. His most significant corporate role was at Pluralsight, where he served as Chief Product Officer and later as Chief Experience Officer. At Pluralsight, he rebuilt the platform's learning experience, significantly contributing to the company's successful IPO in 2018.

Currently, Walkingshaw is the CEO and founder of Torus, a renewable energy storage and management company. Torus aims to address energy poverty by providing sustainable energy solutions. Walkingshaw is also an author, known for his books "Product Leadership: How Top Product Managers Launch Awesome Products and Build Successful Teams" and "Chasing Confidence: Transforming Ideas into Impact." His work and leadership have earned him numerous awards, including Innovator of the Year by Great Places to Work.

Walkingshaw's diverse career spans various industries, demonstrating his ability to innovate and lead in both technology and product development sectors. He continues to influence the tech world through his work at Torus and his contributions to product management literature​.
